KLF Hosts 1st Clinic

The Knights Lacrosse Foundation get together at Foster Park in Tampa, FL to host their first free lacrosse clinic on 4/15/2023.

Mission

Empowering all young people to pursue post-secondary education through scholarship opportunities, with a focus on youth development in lacrosse.

Identity

Knights Lacrosse Foundation provides a "free-of-pay" model for kids in the broader South Tampa, FL area to play lacrosse free of cost, as well as scholarship programming. This includes all equipment, opportunity, and coaching provided to interested members for free, while working with each individual member to develop structured scholarship paths.

Meet Our Coaches

KLF activates top-tier coaches for our student-athletes. All of our coaches have unique experiences in the sport of lacrosse and have competed at the highest levels. From fundamentals to the nuances of the game, your kids are in great hands to take their skills to the next level.

A Tampa native, Ryan started his lacrosse journey here in the Bay Area, playing for several club teams starting in 8th grade. He attended Saint Andrews School in Boca Raton for his junior and senior seasons where he earned all-state honors and helped lead the Scott’s to two State Championship titles, graduating in 2010.

Ryan then went on scholarship to C.W. Post for his freshman year of college where the Pioneers went to the NCAA DII Final Four. Ryan transferred to he University of Tampa for the Spartans inaugural season in 2011 where he later graduated in 2014. While a member of the Spartans team, he earned All Deep South Conference and All Tournament team honors.

Ryan has grown up in the Tampa lacrosse community as a coach for several youth organizations, as well as coaching the after-school Affiliate Club program for East Nashville Magnet Middle School in 2019.

Ryan currently serves as the Director of Workforce Development for Boys and Girls Clubs of the Suncoast, Head Lacrosse Coach for Robinson High School, and Executive Director for Knights Lacrosse Foundation.

A Tampa native, Toby started out playing in elementary school in the bay area. He played all over the state for numerous club teams such as Team Florida. He went on to play for local Newsome High School where he would accumulate over 200 points and jump out as one of the top players in Tampa Bay.

Toby then went on to play at The University of Michigan his freshman year getting to play high level college ball for the Wolverines. From there he transferred to LSU where he would play his remaining years and make a trip to the national championship tournament.

Toby is an integral part of Knights Lacrosse Foundation and all programming, including in-school programs, Knights Lacrosse Club u19 Coach, and supporting developmental clinics. Aside from KLF, Toby currently serves as the Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Robinson High School Boys Lacrosse team.
